The 14C-Urea Breath Test is considered to be the ‘gold standard’ non-invasive diagnostic method for detection of the presence of current infection with H. pylori in the stomach. The 14C-Urea Breath Test offers highly accurate and reliable diagnosis of H. pylori infection. It is also useful for post-treatment follow-up to demonstrate H. pylori eradication.

The C14-PY test measures the amount of the enzyme, urease, produced by H.pylori in the stomach by detecting the presence of the labelled carbon dioxide in the exhaled air.
