Biography

Dr Ruvanika Rajapakse graduated from NCMC, Sri Lanka (MBBS) in 1995. Soon after she was appointed to the position of Conjoint Lecturer, University of Sri Jayawardenapura, Sri Lanka in 1997. In 1998, she commenced her post-graduate training in Medical Microbiology and was awarded the Diploma in Medical Microbiology in 2000 and her MD in Medical Microbiology in 2003. In the following years, Ruvanika embarked on advanced training at Whipps Cross University Hospital, London. In 2010 she was admitted to the Fellowship of Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia. Ruvanika joined LAV Pathology as a Clinical Microbiologist in 2011. She holds current membership of the Australian Society of Microbiology, Australian Society of Antimicrobials, American Society of Microbiology and Sri Lanka College of Microbiologists.
