Biography

Dr. Lee graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2008. He completed basic physician training in London and St George Hospital network in Sydney, and advanced training in laboratory and clinical Haematology at St George, Prince of Wales, Wollongong and St Vincent’s Hospital. He was conferred fellowships with the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia and the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2017. He was also awarded a PhD from the University of Sydney in 2022 following research funded by the Cancer Institute of New South Wales (SW-TCRC) and a PhD scholarship at Westmead Institute for Medical Research in cellular therapies in Acute myeloid leukemia.

Currently, Dr Lee is a Staff Specialist Haematologist and CAR T-cell physician at Westmead Hospital in Sydney, and a Laboratory Haematologist at Laverty pathology. He is also a clinical lecturer and supervises PhD students via Sydney University. He has received grant funding to further his research in cellular therapies and he is a principal investigator on several commercially funded clinical trials at Westmead Hospital.
