Biography

Dr Kate O’Conner graduated from the University of Queensland (MBBS) in 1999. She completed Basic Physician Training at Westmead Hospital and her Advanced Training in Immunology and Immunopathology at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Westmead Hospital and Royal Victoria Infirmary (UK). In 2010 she was admitted to FRACP and FRCPA and achieved a Scholarship at NHMRC. She worked as a Consultant Clinical Immunologist and Allergist in a Private Practice at Westmead.  Dr O’Connor was awarded her PhD from University of Sydney on her thesis entitled “Immunologic effects of the interferon lambda 3 genotype in chronic hepatitis C. In 2017 Dr O’Connor joined LAV Pathology as an Immunopathologist and is also currently working as a Staff Specialist in Clinical Immunology and Allergy, Blacktown Hospital.
